Prenatal
Diagnosis: indications
The medical
techniques of the Prenatal Diagnosis are indicated in the following cases:
advanced maternal age (over 35 years),
history of previous pregnancies with children affected from chromosomic
anomalies,
parents carriers of chromosomic anomalies, pregnancies with risk for
neural tube
disease (NTD) or for errors of the metabolism,
familiar history of Down syndrome or other chromosomic anomalies,
teratogenic indications (like
for drug assumption or for infectious or other diseases in pregnancy).
